　　The Shanghai government has announced it will reduce social security premiums for companies by 2.5 percentage points. The move is aimed at helping businesses save money while stimulating the economy.

　　上海市政府宣布降低职工社会保险费率2.5个百分点，这项措施的目的是要帮助企业节约开支刺激经济发展。

　　The city will slash the premiums for mandatory pension by 1 percentage point, medical insurance by 1 percentage point and unemployment insurance by 0.5 percentage point. Despite the reductions, the city government will still offer the same level of social security benefits.

　　上海市将把职工基本养老保险费率(企业的单位缴费部分)下调1个百分点;职工基本医疗保险费率(单位缴费部分)下调1个百分点;失业保险费率(单位缴费部分)下调0.5个百分点。尽管降低了费率，市政府将提供同样的参保人员社会保险待遇。

　　City officials say the move is expected to save businesses about 13.5 billion yuan this year.

　　市政府官员表示这项措施今年将可减轻企业负担约135亿元。

　　Shanghai is the seventh region to launch such reductions. Guangdong, Yunnan, Gansu, Guizhou and Jiangsu provinces along with Tianjin municipality have also reduced the social security premiums companies have to pay on behalf of employees in a drive to boost the economy.

　　上海是发布降低保险费率措施的第七个地区，广东，云南，甘肃，贵州和江苏省以及天津市也降低了企业为员工支付的社会保险费率，以此来推动经济发展。
